Who says AFRO, says style, elegance, charm, swag, sophistication, finesse, urban, chic, rich in colors and textures. We will transport you to a world that never ends!
OUR AFROFASHION ZONE
will host fashion shows focusing on the different styles found in the diaspora as well as motherland. Who says fashion, says hairstyle, clothes, makeup and more.

Did you know that cell phones run on a mineral available only in Africa? TECHNOLOGY, in all its forms, unites us in a thousand and one ways.

will feature African video games, coding geniuses, global contributions to the advancement of technology, businesses of the future, cryptocurrency and more! Are you ready?
AFRODANSE
UMOJA | UNITED BY DANCE
It is impossible to talk about dance without music! You are invited to come and dance to the spellbinding and electrifying rhythms of the AFRO world. Several dance workshops will be available during the day that will be replaced by professionals in the evening! Surrender to African, North African, Caribbean and Afro-Latin sounds!

AFROMONDE is a unifying event, an amalgam of traditional culture, urban music, humor, fashion, visual arts and gastronomy.
The AFROMONDE Festival generates both a collective dialogue, a blending of rhythms, all presented in various forms. This event stimulates through a festive and artistic dynamic, as well as the feeling of belonging to a multicultural community.

Festival Godmother and Ambassador
Vickie Joseph – Entrepreneur, designer and Philanthropic business woman committed to women’s beauty for over 20 years. Co-founder and President of V Kosmetik International (VKI), specialist in beauty and skin care products – The brand of 50 shades of ethnicity, inspired by her life, personality, character and passion to give back to women.
VKI is distributed across Canada and internationally, notably in the USA, Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Benin, Saudi Arabia, Dubaï and South Africa under its “V Kosmetik©”.
A fulfilling mother of three children, the designer and businesswoman is committed – according to her, “success confers the responsibility to help others”. To this end, she co-founded Groupe 3737, a major center for entrepreneurial innovation promoting the emergence of new businesses and the creation of thousands of jobs that now has 12 offices across Canada. She co-founded FemPreneurs to help women develop their business ventures with special support and programs offered to women of diversity and the ones living with difficult situations including financial limitations.
Ms. Joseph is the recipient of several distinctions, including – Top 6 Canadian designers among more than 20,000 candidates by the Black Canadian Awards, News: one of the entrepreneurs of Quebec Inc., Gala Dynasty: Tribute to Philanthropy, BMO: Community and donations award, Startup Canada: Regional and National Entrepreneur (2019) Entrepreneur of the Year 2022; Femmessor-Evol: one of the 100 entrepreneurs changing the world.
New and First women to become Vice-President of the Council – Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal and Montreal Relève. Newly for a 2nd year slipped into the list of the 110 most successful women-owned businesses across Quebec, amounting to 5-50 million in revenue and one of the most influential women in Canada.

The AFROMONDE Festival’s mission is to embrace multiculturalism and to promote the meeting of cultures and peoples through the arts, shows, gastronomy, fashion and technology.
An invitation to savor the difference, the richness and the unique character of each of the Afro- descendant communities.

A variety of activities are offered during the 4 days of the festival that will keep festival-goers from all walks of life spellbound.

Cultural diversity is in the spotlight, the observed profile of festival-goers in recent years reveals a wide variety of origins.
Moreover, the goal of the AfroMonde Festival is to reflect and celebrate this diversity specific to the Montreal metropolitan area.
