Black picsou

Hello, I am Michael Ndiho, also known as Black Picsou, a singer-songwriter based in Montreal. Originally from Senegal, I’ve been active in the music scene for about 2 years. I made my debut in rap in 2021 as an independent artist with well-received singles like “j’aime la rue” with Boutot, a rapper from Gatineau, “on maille,” and “andaler.”

I’ve also performed in around ten shows in 2022. My songs draw inspiration from both American and, more importantly, African influences. I have plans to release 2 independent projects in 2023—a project in the Afrotrap genre and another in rap. Through my music, I aim to introduce my universe to the entire world.

Riley

Riley, an artist who embodies the intersection between the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) and Canada, is a true product of musical evolution. Born into a family of talented artists in the music domain, he occupies the sixth position in this artistic sibling lineup.

Early on, his father encouraged him to take an interest in and get initiated into singing, but this passion was quickly interrupted. During that time, young people were drawn to various interests like sports or leisure activities, and the world of music wasn’t their priority. However, Riley’s surroundings gradually showed him that things could be different.

By observing and supporting his friends who were also venturing into art, Riley gradually felt the need to reconnect with this childhood passion. He engaged in almost secret writing and recording sessions. He released his first EP titled “Book Of Riley” in May 2022, paying homage to his very first passion.

I was born in Long Island, New York, so from a very young age, I was influenced by New York culture, including various genres of music: Rap, R&B, Reggaeton, and Dancehall. My father was a well-known DJ in New York, which also influenced me to follow in his footsteps. My favorite style to mix in clubs is Afrotrap.

Being Haitian-Dominican, it exposed me to all kinds of Caribbean and Latino music, which helped me expand my clientele. I’ve mixed for international artists like Nesly, Tiakola, Bramsito, and Hatik. My goal is to stand out from other DJs with my lively style and make myself known throughout the entire world.
