The DJAMBOOLA group is a group of animators in Afro-urban dances and Afro-Caribbean dances, in the greater Montreal area. Guided by its founder, Rich’Art, the Djamboola workshops at the Afromonde Festival will make you move, by learning urban African dance movements such as Coupé-Décalé, Azonto, N’Dombolo, Afro-Dancehall, etc. …

In the space of a few minutes, you will be transported to the bustling streets of Abidjan, Kinshasa, Accra, or even Lagos. Bring your families, friends, roommates, colleagues, etc…!


Mikey Dangerous is a Jamaican/Canadian reggae artist. He was presented with a Juno Award for best Reggae Recording by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences for his single “Don’t Go Pretending“.

We are Rootine Afrodance, an African dance group that explores the depth of life through African dance. We will take you on a journey to Africa through a rhythmic animation with the sounds of home. Be ready!!!

Senaya, a half-blood, who comes from the country where negritude originated and is deeply rooted, was born in the city of Dakar, Senegal, the child of a Guadeloupean mother and Senegalese father. She is a singer, composer, author, poet and guitarist, a self-taught artist of a thousand flavours, who invite us to travel to American Blues through the rhythms of Africa, the Caribbean, to Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Negro Spirituals ! ​

Her music, which she calls: The SoûlKreôl.

Born and raised in Montréal into an Egyptian-Portuguese household, Sugarface BelFo was introduced to funk, soul, and world music at a very young age and is inspired by global bass and afro/latin house, as well as future jazz, disco, and broken beat.

As co-founder of Flat Cola, Sugarface BelFo created ‘International Women’s DJ’, an annual online radio festival showcasing talented female djs from around the world (Brussels, Nantes, Lisboa, São Paolo, Havana, Miami, NYC, London, Melbourne, KwaZulu-Natal).

Radio host, Sugarface BelFo is also World Music Director at CJLO 1690 AM (Montreal) and is a seasoned DJ who has played Piknic Electronik (2022), ICI Musique Radio Canada (2022), Music is My Sanctuary – 24 Hours of Vinyl (2021), as well as internationally including Festival Natur-Arte (Havana, Cuba), Tropikal Elements (Port-au-Prince, Haiti), and The Lot Radio (Brooklyn, NY).


As a child, he made his first guitar with a can of oil and fishing line, a few years later in 2019, his 6th opus (“Rapadou Kreyôl”) was awarded the prestigious Canadian “Juno” and Quebecois “Félix” prizes. for the best world music album of the year, as well as the Coup de Coeur prize from the Académie Charles Cros in France.

Born Wesley Louissaint in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he quickly became a prolific and recognized songwriter, guitarist and producer. In collaboration with a wide range of Canadian and international talents (such as Tiken Jah Fakoly, Paul Cargnello, Mes Aïeux and Radio Radio…), his music combines the roots of voodoo and rara (an iconic traditional Haitian instrument), through afrobeat and hip-hop.
In 2009, Wesli was crowned “Radio-Canada Revelation”, then he won the Babel Med Music Prize in 2010 in Marseille, and the SOCAN Hagood Hardy Prize in 2016.

More recently in 2020, he won the “Canadian Folk Music Award World Music Solo Recording”, as well as the “Independent Music Award in the United States for the title “Lolé Lolé” from the album Rapadou Kreyôl.
His tours have taken him across Canada, but also the United States, Haiti, Cuba, Colombia, Brazil, South Korea, France, Switzerland, England, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Morocco…

In 2021, Wesli is preparing the release of a 7th album “Tradisyon”, in partnership with the famous American label “Cumbancha”.
